LONDON – A man was detained by police on April 29 following a series of stabbing attacks that spanned Highfield Avenue and Golders Green Road.
The incident, which left at least two men injured, was documented through a combination of CCTV footage and social media uploads, allowing for a detailed reconstruction of the suspect’s movements through the neighborhood.
The Metropolitan Police responded to the emergency calls shortly after the first attack began, eventually neutralizing the suspect with electronic control devices. However, available video evidence suggests the second stabbing may have occurred on the nearby Golders Green Road, highlighting an early discrepancy between on-the-ground witness accounts and the initial official description of the scene layout.
Suspect Movements and Evidence
Following the attack at the bus stop, a photograph taken approximately 90 meters (300 feet) further along Golders Green Road provided the first visual confirmation of a knife being held by the suspect. The image, shot from street level, shows pedestrians attempting to keep their distance as the man moves south along the pavement.
Earlier footage filmed from a vehicle traveling north along Golders Green Road also captured the suspect chasing a man on the pavement, indicating that the attacks unfolded across several adjacent locations rather than at a single fixed scene.
